KA 4993

KA 4993. Does anyone know what this means? I see it on license plate frames all the time (and only on license plate frames). What, what, what does it mean? Why isn't it KB 3882? LC 5004? Is it code? Please someone help. I'm so confused.

its a police code, mainly CHP letting the fuzz know that they are "in the family" and to take it easy on them

KA4993 is the FCC issued radio license number for the California Highway Patrol.

True that this license plate holder is to let every one know that they are a family member of a CHP officer. My neighbor is a CHP and on his truck there is no KA 4993 plate holder but his wife just got a new BMW and she has like her previous car the same thing and I asked them about it cause I had the same questions as everyone else and yes its not on his car cause he is a CHP and its on hers for that reason to let others know that she is affiliated with a CHP officer (ie wife of). So I feel why don't we all have them printed up? Really since you know they take care of there own we can all fake it to make it right???
